About Cherokee
Funding injured people since 2011.
Cherokee Funding started in Atlanta in 2011, advancing money to injured people while their cases were still open. We help people keep up with living expenses while the legal process runs its course.
Cherokee funds it. Gain services it.
Cherokee Funding is a Gain company. Cherokee provides the advance; Gain’s platform services it from application through payoff.
Cherokee is a member of the Alliance for Responsible Consumer Legal Funding (ARC).
Reid Zeising
Founder and CEO
Reid Zeising founded the company in Atlanta in 2011 as Cherokee Legal Holdings. After a career in investment banking and hedge fund management, he wanted to build a business that helped people through difficult circumstances.
Cherokee began with cash advances for injured plaintiffs whose cases were still open, helping them keep up with living expenses while the legal process ran its course. The business later grew into medical funding and the servicing platform that became Gain.
Reid continues to lead the company as CEO. His founding purpose remains the same: helping injured people get the support and care they need, whatever their insurance or bank balance says.
